Sutra - An uplifting yoga & breathing journey by Annelien Van Wauwe
Beneath the remarkable roof of the Wintercircus, this exceptional yoga session shifts the focus inward; towards breath, sound, and a quieter kind of attention.
Yoga with live music?
In this one-hour workshop, clarinettist and yoga instructor Annelien Van Wauwe guides you through a gentle interplay of breathwork, simple meditation, and live music. No complicated poses or prior experience needed.
Woven throughout are fragments from Sutra, a work by Wim Henderickx for basset clarinet and electronics. Inspired by yoga philosophy, the music breathes along with you. Its opening movement, Pranayama aka “breath of life”, doesn’t just begin the piece, it sets the tone. A quiet awakening and a subtle shift from doing to being.
Rather than a traditional workshop, think of this as a guided pause. An hour where sound and stillness meet, and where time moves just a little differently.
Practical
The session lasts around 60 minutes and is open to everyone. Come as you are: curious, tired, or simply in need of a reset. No experience required, just a willingness to slow down.
We kindly invite you to bring a yoga mat. A small number of spare mats will be available at the entrance.
Doors open: 21:00 pm - Start concert: 21:30 pm
